Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian boo, Juma Jux, are taking the final step in the big celebration of their forever union. The beautiful couple saved the best for last, as the grand finale for #JP2025 is set to take place on April 17 in Lagos, Nigeria. Earlier in February, the Yoruba belle had tied the knot with the 35-year Tanzanian singer and songwriter, Juma Mussa Mkambala.
The Nikkah, which had preceded their civil wedding, was a beautiful representation of cross-cultural blend. Two months after they tied the knot in a colorful court ceremony, the family is finally bringing the party to Lagos. This is a long-awaited announcement for Nigerian fans as the question of Juma and Priscilla’s wedding date in Nigeria has been on everyone’s lips.
What’s a wedding announcement without spice? The 24-year old actor cum fashion influencer ensured to serve more looks with their latest pre-wedding video. One of the videos, captioned ‘Two Hearts, One Soul, Forever to Go’, showcased a tasteful fusion of Yoruba-Tanzanian culture. The couple beautifully danced in their stylish Aso-Oke fabric, with a combination of blue, green and yellow colors, which represented Juma Jux’s home country. No doubt, netizens are about to be treated to a movie with the upcoming Lagos owambe.
The Nigerian-Tanzanian couple gave a first peek into their love story in mid-2024, when Priscilla shared a post of them and captioned it ‘Mine’. With the subtle acknowledgement of their union, speculations about Juma and the details of their love have been all over social media.
So, who is he? Priscilla Ojo’s husband, Juma Mussa Mkambala is a popular Easter African musician, with roots in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has had over one-decade of success as an entertainer, and has been awarded with the Best R&B song by the Tanzanian Music Awards. The 35-year old singer, outside his life in the studio, also doubles as a successful fashion entrepreneur. His fashion business, The African Boy Brand was establebs in 2018 and has continued to expand since, contributing to his million-dollar net worth.
His budding love story with Iyabi Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla began in the most unexpected circumstance. The singer recounted, “The first day I saw Priscilla in Rwanda, I missed my flight and could not get a business-class seat because it was complete. I was pissed off, and after passing through the business class section, I saw her laughing at me.”. He proceeded to explain that “I did not care about anything else because I was on a mission. I had always been mindful of my brand, but none mattered with her. As we continued meeting, I realised she was the woman I had been waiting for. God brought everything together in His perfect timing.”
The countdown to Thursday, April 17 has officially begun, and you can tell that it’s about to be a movie with the Ojos, their Tanzanian in-laws, and of course, Priscilla’s Nigerian celeb uncle’s and aunts.
