JAMB Announces Opening of Its Portal For Candidates to Print Notification

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the official opening of its portal for the printing of notification slips for candidates participating in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mock Test.

In a statement released by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the mock examination is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, while the main UTME will commence on Friday, April 25, 2025.

The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination date, venue, time, and important instructions necessary for participation in the mock test.

Candidates who registered for the optional mock exam are advised to visit the official JAMB website at www.jamb.gov.ng, and click on “2025 Mock Slip Printing.” To access their slip, they are required to enter their registration number and proceed to print.

JAMB has emphasized that candidates should begin printing their slips from Thursday, April 3, 2025, to allow sufficient time for preparations, including familiarizing themselves with their examination centres and planning logistics accordingly.

The UTME Mock Examination is an optional test designed to give candidates an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format ahead of the main examination. This initiative was introduced to help reduce exam anxiety and ensure that candidates are well-prepared for the technical aspects of the UTME. While participation in the mock exam does not affect the candidate’s main UTME score, it serves as a valuable practice tool, helping candidates to navigate the exam environment and understand the test interface, time management, and overall process.

In a related development, JAMB has also enabled general e-slip reprinting for candidates ahead of the main UTME, allowing candidates to print their exam slips from any internet-enabled device. This development eliminates the previous requirement of visiting only accredited CBT centres to obtain printed slips. In other news, iNaijanow recently shared a post of Afrobeat sensation Noon Dave inspiring fans with his latest single.

This move isn’t new. As far back as 2015, JAMB began opening its e-slip portal for self-printing, and it’s proven to be a game-changer. It shows that the board continues to prioritize convenience and accessibility.

Candidates may choose to print their slips from home if they have access to a computer and printer. Alternatively, they may visit any business centre or cybercafé, where printing is typically available at a modest cost, estimated at ₦100 for colour printing and ₦10 for photocopying. It is recommended that candidates make at least one duplicate copy, as a copy will be required at the examination centre.

How to Reprint the JAMB e-Slip:

  1. Visit www.jamb.gov.ng

  2. Click on “Re-print Your Slip” or “2025 Mock Slip Printing”

  3. Enter your JAMB registration number

  4. Click “Print Examination Slip

  5. Print the slip (preferably in colour) and make a photocopy

JAMB strongly advises candidates to visit their designated examination centres at least a day or two before the examination date to avoid last-minute complications.

With over 1.4 million candidates expected to participate in this year’s UTME, the self-printing system represents JAMB’s continued effort to streamline processes and reduce congestion at CBT centres.

Candidates are encouraged to adhere strictly to all instructions on the notification slip and ensure they arrive at the exam venue early on the scheduled day.
