Dunsin Oyekan, often referred to as “The Eagle,” is a renowned Nigerian gospel artist, worship leader, and multi-instrumentalist. Born on November 5, 1984, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, he is the only son of the late Gbadebo Oyekan, a pastor and leader of the worship group ‘Spiritual Singers’ . Marking the sixth anniversary of his wife’s passing on May 18, 2025, Dunsin took to social media to share his journey of grief and healing. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he wrote:
“Most people wondered how I survived. I didn’t numb the pain, I channeled it! I found closure in the Presence of God, understood from God’s perspective, accepted His sovereignty, and found joy in His presence! That’s the path of Life… 6 years later, with tears of joy, all I still have to say is GOD IS GOOD!”
His message resonated with many, highlighting his unwavering faith and the strength he found in his relationship with God. Dunsin’s ability to transform his pain into a deeper connection with his faith serves as an inspiration to many facing similar challenges.
Life After Loss
Since Adedoyin’s passing, Dunsin has remained single, focusing on his ministry and raising their two children. In an interview, when asked about the possibility of remarriage, he responded, “Let’s see what the Lord will do. The body of Christ should keep us in prayers” .
