Victor Boniface

One of the hottest talks in the football scene this year is Boniface’s move to the Saudi Arabian club AI Nassr. But after it fell through, everywhere had been dead silent until the Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface spoke about it. So what did Boniface have to say? This blog post explores the discussion. Stick around to learn what Boniface said to his fans and why the transfer didn’t work out.

Many fans and spectators thought Boniface was headed to a goldmine. The rumored deal was said to come with a €15 million per year salary package. But while the speculations took place, Boniface has been quiet, until recently.

The Nigerian international posted on social media to address his fans, asking if they had “finished calculating” his worth. Several Nigerians took to their social media page to calculate how much Boniface would make in Naira if his move went through. The proposed 15 million dollar salary would be in billions of naira, which is a lot of money to an average Nigerian. On that note, they pressed the star to take the deal.

Boniface’s message was a subtle response to critics who had questioned his decision to reject the lucrative offer from Al Nassr. Even though, there wasn’t even an official offer yet. The 24-year-old was in the eyes of several top European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool. However, this was before a potential Al Nassr deal was announced.

In a shocking turn of events, the move fell through, leaving Boniface’s future uncertain. Instead of Boniface, AI Nassr went with the Aston Villa player, Jhou Duran. Reports have started that nothing official was submitted to the star. As the club was negotiating with Boniface, they were with Jhou Duran

Despite the setback, the young striker remains optimistic, and his message to his fans suggests that he is focused on proving his worth on the pitch. Boniface has been in impressive form for his club, scoring crucial goals and providing assists in key matches. His performances have earned him praises from teammates and spectators alike.

Also, the star still has a contract with Leverkusen as his contract extends to 2028. He is willing to stay committed to the club. He has started training and still shows his unwavering support to his team members. A notable example is his remark “my guy” on Nathan Tella’s performance against Sparta Prague.

Xabi Alonso Happy to Have Boniface Back

The failed transfer is now behind Boniface and it shows. The striker is training to return to the best physical state. He is also set to keep participating in pushing the club to Bundesliga success.

Xabi Alonso, the head coach of Leverkusen, welcomes his top player back to the club with the training. He also emphasizes the striker in the attack setup. Boniface is set to resume training to take part in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga clash against Gift Orban’s Hoffenheim this coming Sunday.
