Days after he made headlines for the gruesome murder of his girlfriend, Ms. Salome Adaidu, Timileyin Ajayi says, “I have no regrets killing her.”
In a series of videos making rounds on social media, the 32-year-old Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer is seen with the severed head of the late Salome near a church in Orozo. He was reportedly caught by church members and apprehended by the Nasarawa State Police on January 12th.

Timileyin Ajayi, who was paraded on January 14th, attempted to justify the cause of his actions by making allegations of infidelity against the deceased. He stated in his interview with Channels TV, trying to defend his act. He stated: “I saw her chats with other guys on the phone, that was why I decided.” He added. “I killed her because we don’t have each other all the time.”
In his confession video, Timileyin Ajayi mentioned that this was not something that he had planned. However, the genuineness of this claim is questioned, because he quite affirmatively stated: “I don’t have regrets because life is reciprocal, that is what I thought.” In the wake of this tragic event, different questions about the identity of the alleged killer, Timileyin Ajayi, and his victim, Salome have been raised.
Who is Timileyin Ajayi?
Timileyin Ajayi is a 32-year-old Nigerian from Kogi State. Before the period of the incident, he was residing at New Karshi in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. A self-acclaimed cryptocurrency agent, Timileyin Ajayi has also been proclaimed as a multi-talented gospel singer and songwriter. His now-popular single, God of All the Earth was released in 2020 under his first EP of the same name.
The late Salome Eleojo Adaidu was a 24-year-old graduate of Library and Information Sciences. After bagging her degree from Kogi State University, the young lady embarked on her one-year mandatory National Youth Service. She was a serving corps member at Nicon Insurance, Abuja, until she met her brutal death last Sunday.
Salome’s Mother, and Family Seek Justice
The death of Salome may have left a bad taste in the mouths of many, however, only her family and loved words can truly feel this sense of loss. Mrs. Ojomachenwu Adaidu, who is the mother and only parent grieves her daughter’s loss and seeks justice. While speaking to the police, her uncle, Samson Adaidu reiterates by saying, “We discovered this through the Nigerian Police, and we are expecting justice from the police.” Also, while speaking to the media, Salome’s sister, Esther Adaidu noted that the suspect, Timileyin Ajayi, was not a known person to the family. She mentioned, “We had never seen him until we were called up to tell us that this guy murdered and dismembered our sister.”
Justice Will Be Served
In his response to the call for justice, SP Ramhan Nansel assured the public that justice would be served. The officer stated that Timileyin Ajayi “will be charged to court.”

Men and women alike have condemned the heinous act committed by the gospel singer and shown sympathy for the bereaved.
