Reps Moves WAEC’s CBT Plan to 2030, Warns Of ‘Massive Failure’ if Launched in 2026

The House of Representatives has approved a shift in WAEC’s plan to introduce Computer-Based Testing (CBT), moving the rollout from 2026 to 2030. Lawmakers expressed deep concern that rushing the system could lead to “massive failure” for students, citing inadequate infrastructure, limited digital access, and the need for proper nationwide preparation.
