Fear Grips Nollywood as Iyabo Ojo’s Office Goes Up in Flames Amid JP 2025 Tensions

Iyabo Ojo’s Office Fire Sparks Concern as JP 2025 Builds Pressure

When Priscilla Ojo married Tanzanian singer Juma Jux earlier this year, you couldn’t miss it. JP2025 was a spectacle. Social media buzzed for weeks with clips of celebrity guests, lavish decor that felt straight out of a fairytale. For a moment, it was all joy, glamour, and endless well-wishes from fans across Nigeria and East Africa.

But just months later, that picture-perfect happiness has been rattled by an unsettling twist. Priscilla now says someone threatened her family shortly after the wedding  and her mother’s office going up in flames has made those threats feel all too real.

For many who know Iyabo Ojo, she is one of Nollywood’s most outspoken stars. She’s built her reputation as an actress, producer, entrepreneur, and influencer who never shies away from sharing her truth, the good, the bad, and the messy. She’s inspired fans with how fiercely she protects her family, hustles for her businesses, and stands up to her critics.

Priscilla, her only daughter, has carved out her own spotlight, too. Long before she said “I do,” she was a rising influencer with big brand deals and a loyal Gen Z following who admire her for being stylish but grounded, famous but relatable.

So when Priscilla shared that someone sent a threat letter to Iyabo’s office, warning that her marriage would be “rubbished” within months, people paid attention.

According to Priscilla, the letter arrived while her mother was away in Tanzania for the wedding. Its words were chilling, accusing Iyabo of putting someone’s life “in trouble” while she was “out enjoying giving out your daughter in marriage.”

Whoever sent it promised they were watching and would make sure the marriage didn’t last.

No family should ever have to read words like that. But then came the fire.

Iyabo’s office, the hub of her production work, business meetings, and creative ideas  was gutted. Thankfully, no lives were lost, thanks to quick action from the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff.

Iyabo thanked her staff and the fire service for saving what they could. She told her fans on Instagram, “The devil tested us today, but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.” For many who have watched her weather storms in the film industry, it was the kind of fighting spirit they’ve come to expect.

Priscilla, too, says they’re trying to find out who delivered the letter and has promised to release any security footage to the public and the police. It’s a bold move, but it shows just how seriously they’re taking this.

All through this, messages have poured in from fans,  prayers, outrage, disbelief. Many say it’s heartbreaking that a beautiful moment like a wedding could attract this kind of malice. Others say it’s yet another reminder that fame isn’t always as shiny as it looks.
