Chocolate City Music participated in the 2025 SMC Music Conference hosted by the School of Media and Communication at Lagos Business School.
Themed “Empowering Creatives – Leveraging AI for Growth, Opportunities, and Sustainability in the Industry,” the event brought together key players across media, technology, and entertainment to examine how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of the creative sector.
Moyosore Olumodeji, Head of Growth and Marketing at Chocolate City Music, joined the panel discussion AI and Creative Education – Public and Private Sector Efforts in Developing Future Talents.
Moyosore Olumodeji highlighted the evolving stages of AI adoption within the creative industry—from understanding its fundamentals to practical application and eventually the creation of AI-driven tools and platforms. Emphasising the importance of prompt engineering and access to structured and unstructured data, he underscored how AI is enhancing audience insights, trend prediction, and hyper-personalised content delivery.
According to Moyosore Olumodeji , AI is not just reshaping the creative process but also opening new frontiers in monetization, adaptive experiences, and cross-cultural reach.
“The creative industry must move from being reactive to proactive,” he noted, “using AI to refine sound, anticipate feedback, and drive cultural moments with greater precision and impact.”
The conference also featured an engaging Chocolate City Music exhibition booth where attendees could scan QR codes to access its artist catalogue and stream music directly. Visitors connected with representatives to learn more about current projects and explore pathways to join the wider creative community.
An experiential “Spin the Wheel” game provided a fun and interactive way for attendees to engage, answer Chocolate City-related trivia, and win branded gifts.
Reflecting on the experience, Ifeyinwa Anyadiegwu, Head of Business and Legal at Chocolate City Music, said,
“The SMC Music Conference was an outstanding platform for innovation and industry dialogue. The level of engagement at the exhibition booth was particularly encouraging — it was inspiring to witness so many young creatives eager to connect, learn, and be part of the evolving music ecosystem.”
