Popular Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo has revealed the exact moment he dumped his law career for acting. In an exclusive chat with Pulse Nigeria, Adebayo shared how acting went from a casual hobby to his full-time calling. Back then, fresh out of law school, he hustled as a young lawyer, earning a modest N20,000 per month.

But life had a different plan. “Acting was just a hobby for me then,” Adebayo said. “But when I got that N50,000 gig for just three days, I told myself, ‘Femi, this is your calling.’”

He didn’t need a second sign. Earning more than double his monthly lawyer salary in a weekend sealed his fate. For Adebayo,acting gave him the money and in addition, the freedom to express himself and connect with people in a way the courtroom never could.

Femi’s career switch didn’t happen in a vacuum. His father, Adebayo Salami, better known as Oga Bello, is a legend in the Yoruba movie industry. Growing up, Femi watched his dad command film sets and captivate audiences, planting the seeds for his future stardom.

Yet, Adebayo didn’t take the easy way out. He finished law school and got called to the bar, showing he could hold his own outside his father’s shadow. But deep down, his passion for acting was undeniable.
