Na lie lie you dey talk, you don pafuka.” This translates to a powerful message affirming his vitality and dismissing the death rumors as lies orchestrated by negative forces.
Following his musical rebuttal, the revered musician made a clear statement to his fans and the general public. He stated, “It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory. It is a lie. I am alive, and that is not the word Jesus has written.” This declaration underscores his strong faith and conviction that his life’s journey is still ongoing according to divine will.
Adding further clarity, Chief Obey’s personal assistant, Tope Olukole, had already dismissed the baseless claims in an interview with TVC on Monday evening.
